Course Aims

The aim is to deliver competence based training, as identified by Skills for Care and Development and Skills for Health, to match to job roles within health and social care.

Who should attend

Learners employed as health and social care workers within any health and social care provision, including:- Primary Care, Acute Care, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Domiciliary Care, Residential Care and Day Care.
Progression:-
Level 3 NVQ Health & Social Care
Level 3 Certificate in Health and Social Care (Adults/Children and Young People)
Level 2 in Dementia Care

Course Content

• To complete 6 units (4 Core units and 2 optional units
• Unit 1 – Communicate with, and complete records for individuals
• Unit 2 – Support the health and safety of yourself and individuals
• Unit 3 – Develop your knowledge and practice
• Unit 4 – Ensure your own actions support the care, protection and well being of individuals
• 41 Optional units to chose from, list on request

EDI Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care

Assessment

By an agreed assessment plan, Internally Verified and External Verification by EDI
