Course Aims

To provide evidence of knowledge, understanding and competence for those who are responsible for the provision of cleaning and supporting services of building interiors.

Who should attend

The Level 2 NVQ in Cleaning and Support Services is designed for people who are involved in Cleaning and Support Services as their main work activity and wish to receive recognition for their Cleaning and Support Services experience. Also for those seeking a career in Cleaning and Support Services and wish to take the first steps towards a professional qualification.

Course Content

• To complete 7 Units - (2 Core at lease 1 from Group B and 2 Group C)
• UNIT 2 Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
• UNIT 4 Promote and maintain service delivery
• Group B:
• UNIT 5 Support the work of a team
• UNIT 6 Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers
• UNIT 7 Control the use of resources
• UNIT 8 Communicate effectively in the workplace
• Group C: (Building Interiors)
• UNIT 10 Clean floors manually
• UNIT 11 Clean furniture, fittings and vertical surfaces manually
• UNIT 12 Clean toilets and washrooms manually
• UNIT 13 Clean and protect floors
• UNIT 14 Clean carpets and soft furnishings
• UNIT 15 Clean surfaces up to a maximum height of 4 metres

EDI Level 2 NVQ in Cleaning and Support Services (Building Interiors)

By an agreed assessment plan, Internally Verified and External Verification by EDI
